Satilla River Sandbar
Approximately 2.5 miles upriver from Woodbine is a large sandbar popular among locals. This sandbar is only exposed at lower tides but is charted.
Satilla River Waterfront Park
Park amenities include a large pavilion with restrooms, a scenic catwalk, and bike trails.
In the Saint Andrew’s Sound turn west between Green 29A and Red 30 into the Satilla River. Follow the marked channel until you pass Bailey’s Cut. Continue up the Satilla River to Woodbine. Dock at the Free Dock just before the Highway 17 bridge or anchor in the river. Be aware that there is a strong current going under the I95 bridge. If the current is against you, use maximum RPMs to maintain steerage.
